Integrated sound healing

Integrated sound healing is a multistep way to organize and present sound. It combines what we know about stress with how our consciousness and inner beliefs affect wellbeing. Integrated sound healing uses the power of sound to help you:

  • trigger a relaxation response
  • connect with your inner self
  • co-create resonance
  • release stress and old patterns of behaviour
  • overcome resistance to change
  • reform new patterns of behaviour
  • reflect on your experiences

Ultimately, integrated sound healing provides relaxation and stress relief.
The relaxation response switches off the parasympathetic nervous system’s fight-flight-freeze response to stress.

Plus, it offers similar benefits to mindfulness and other ways to meditate. Yet, it doesn’t need a steep learning curve or great deal of discipline to practice.

All you have to do is show up.

Philosophy

Five elements of consciousness exist – the body, mind, emotions, spirit and soul. Each element impacts our awareness of the world and how we respond to it. Our body has physical sensations. Our mind creates thoughts. We feel with our emotions. We receive messages from our soul. And, in the stillness of silence, we feel our spirit’s presence.

Dynamic energy fields interconnect the five elements. What happens to one element affects all others. For example, a physical sensation like pain may create stressful thoughts and emotions. It may block the soul’s wisdom and dissipate spiritual energy. In other words, you feel bad, so you think bad, act bad, ignore your inner wisdom, and feel spiritually drained.

That’s why self-healing is an ongoing process, not an event.

Integrated sound healing honours all five elements.

Secondly, understanding your personal belief system is integral to self-healing. The journey from illness to wellness begins when we suspend the voices of judgment, criticism and fear within us.

When we enter a mindful or present state – become aware and accept who we are, right here, right now, in this moment. Only then can we open our hearts, our minds, and our will to let go of what no longer serves us. Only then can we break old patterns, reform our beliefs and begin a healthy transformation to wellness.

Sound vibrations, focused by intention, set this cycle in motion. They may lead to a mindful awareness of sensations, thoughts, feelings, spirituality and the soul. In this way, sound helps us to manage our response to stress. It enables us to respond, rather than react, to stressful situations.

Just for you

Spend a blissful hour with me. Leave more relaxed, peaceful, calm and able to breathe. Shed your stress during a personalized, one-hour, sound journey.

We will speak and set an intention. I will choose sound-healing instruments to play – just for you. The power of sound and intention will bring profound relaxation and begin self-healing.

Integrated sound healing is a 10-step process. It begins with relaxation, release, reforming, and reflection. It ends with rejuvenation. You may experience an emotional release. You may feel a joyful sense of wellbeing. Or, you may simply feel the “ahhh” of deep relaxation.

Sound benefits

Sound is a powerful healing force.

Sound has a unique capacity to restore our natural resonance. It brings us back to harmonic balance.

All of the world’s great spiritual philosophies use sound to restore balance to many aspects of life. They view sound as a sacred instrument of immense power. It has the potential for healing and spiritual development.

Some religions believe that sound (the word) called the universe into creation. They believe that intention, combined with harmonic resonance, uses the power of therapeutic sound to heal the body, mind, heart and soul.

Sound is the voice of the universe.

Everything in the universe is in a state of vibration – from the smallest molecule in your body to the largest planetary system.

All matter in the universe emits vibrations. They are manifest as sound waves, which travel throughout the universe. Sound waves travel through air, water, and solid matter.

Sound is energy.

In 1887, Hertz discovered that electromagnetic waves transmit energy, including sound waves, through space.

We hear sound when the eardrum vibrates within a certain frequency range. However, sound exists whether or not we can hear it. Moreover, the human ear cannot detect most sound vibrations.

The average audible range of sound occurs between 20 and 20,000 Hertz (Hz) in young adults, up to 15,000 Hz in middle-aged adults, and even lower among seniors. Moreover, sounds below 20 Hz are usually felt rather than heard.

Sound cleanses.

Therapeutic sound acts as an energy body builder and cleanser. That’s one reason why sessions are often called sound baths.

Every molecule, every cell in our bodies, emits sound at a unique natural frequency. Emotional, physical or mental distress knocks this frequency out of whack – perhaps due to workplace stress, relationship tensions, anxiety, past trauma, or negative emotional states.

Sound therapy clears old, stagnant energy from the body. Sound and intention transform and replace them with new, clear, harmonic energy. This restores our natural resonance. It brings us from a state of disharmony – stress, tension or uneasiness – to a blissful state of ease, balance, peace and harmony.

The healing power is within you. The power of sound goes where you intend it.

Sound baths further our spiritual development. Above all, they renew courage and energy for our journey through life.

Over time, pure, clear sound vibrations fortify each level of the body, mind, spirit and soul. They become an energy armour. Consequently, events that once triggered a negative response will bounce off us, and, as a result, we act with greater compassion towards others.

Soothing sounds

Sound & water

The human body is up to 60% water. Water conducts sound. Vibrations switch the body into relaxation mode. As it travel through the body, sound relaxes muscles and improves blood and lymphatic flow. It boosts energy, which helps you to feel rejuvenated. Studies show that sound can relieve anger, stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue.

Sound shifts our frequency

We hear sound with our whole body, not just our ears. Ancient cultures have used sacred sound instruments and voice work for thousands of years to clear energy blockages, thus inducing states of ease and harmony.

Sound shifts our frequency from lower vibrations of guilt, anger and fear to higher vibrations of love, compassion and joy.

I just want to let you know how much I am enjoying the sound-healing Zoom classes at WICWC. I did a session on Tuesday, and my good news is that, on Friday, I had to do an MRI on my back. I normally would be quite anxious, but I was very relaxed… I was calm and meditating all that Heather spoke about. I was amazed at how well I did, as I am claustrophobic AND I had to wear a mask! The proof is in the pudding, as they say. The sound-healing sessions are of benefit.” – Barb

I am grateful for your beautiful healing offering last evening. The spoken-word meditation really took me into a healing state and the music worked on me there. I had a beautiful shift! – JoEllen
